Youth Entrepreneurship Academy

Fall 2026 Registration is Open

​

The Youth Entrepreneurship Academy is a FREE hands-on program where young people (ages 18 and under) learn how to develop a business idea and prepare to share it with the community.

​

No previous business experience is required.

Program Schedule

Tuesdays from 5:30pm - 7:30pm

  • October 6, 13, 20, 27

  • November 3, 10, 17, 24

  • Water and snacks will be provided

 

Location

 

Children’s Holiday Business Expo

  • Saturday, November 28th

  • 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

  • Birchtree Bread Company, Worcester, MA

    • Free lunch provided for youth

    • Adult must be present

    • We will also offer gift wrapping services to raise funds for the Scensob Foundation!

Participants will learn how to:

  • Develop a business idea

  • Identify customers

  • Create a simple business plan

  • Set prices and understand profit

  • Build a brand and market their business

  • Practice their business pitch

  • Learn from local business leaders

  • Prepare a booth and interact with customers

Participants will have open access to the makerspace at the end of each session time (7-7:30pm). Parental supervision is required for usage of tools to ensure safety of all youth. Some tools may require training before being allowed to use independently. The Scensob Foundation is not liable for any injuries.

We recommend becoming a Technocopia member if your child wishes to use the makerspace outside of program time.

Who can participate?

Youth who are interested in:

  • Starting a business

  • Creating products or services

  • Turning a hobby into a business

  • Learning about entrepreneurship

  • Developing leadership and professional skills

How can parents help?

Parents and caregivers can support youth by encouraging them to:

  • Explore their ideas

  • Complete activities between sessions

  • Practice their business pitch

  • Prepare products or materials for the Expo

  • Parents are welcome to stay during program time in the common area or classroom (space permitting). Tool usage will require parent supervision during open makerspace time (7-7:30pm).
